That 'just raise prices' advice from a LinkedIn guru nearly sunk my shop

Back in June I watched this guy with 200k followers say my pricing was too low and I should bump everything 30% overnight. I did it for two weeks and lost three steady clients, including a bakery in Tacoma that paid me $1,100 a month for labels. Turns out my margins were actually fine, I just needed to trim my shipping costs with a different carrier. Anyone else get burned following big-name business advice that doesn't fit a small local operation?
