Switched from hourly to flat-rate pricing for my small marketing biz 6 months ago

Revenue jumped 40% because clients stopped micromanaging every minor task and just trusted me to get the work done, anyone else make a similar switch and see a big difference?

Oh wow, that's a HUGE difference you've seen! I made the same switch about a year ago for my own freelance work and honestly it was the BEST thing I ever did. Clients stop asking about every little change or rethinking their budget on random tasks, and they actually respect my time more. The flat rate makes them feel like they're getting a deal while I'm just working smarter instead of chasing hours. You start delivering faster too because there's no clock watching, just pure focus on the results. And the trust factor you mentioned is real - once they pay one price, they stop nitpicking and let you be the expert they hired in the first place.

There's also the hidden benefit of not having to justify your rate every time a project drags out unexpectedly. With hourly work you almost have to apologize for taking longer than estimated, but flat fees just shift the focus to delivering quality regardless of how long it takes. It honestly changes your whole mindset from counting hours to just getting the job done right.
