Spent 3 months testing barefoot shoes vs regular work boots on concrete floors
Honestly, I used to think barefoot shoes were just a fad for hipsters. But after standing on poured concrete for 10 hour days at my Nashville warehouse, my knees were screaming. Switched to a pair of Xero shoes 3 months ago and my foot pain dropped by about 60%. The weirdest part is how much more stable I feel climbing ladders now. Has anyone else tried switching footwear for their crew, or am I the only one crazy enough to test this?

Wasn't there a study from some university that said going barefoot actually strengthens the tiny muscles in your feet? I swear I saw something about that on a running podcast a while back. Anyways, your experience lines up with what I've heard from guys in construction trades who've made the switch. The ladder part makes total sense too, you can really feel the rung under your whole foot instead of just a thick sole. Might have to grab a pair for myself if my knees keep complaining like yours did.
