Our recyclable packaging slip up almost hurt a sale

We chose regular plastic without thinking and a customer called us out. Now we're fast tracking a switch to better options.

Yeah, that part about the customer calling you out really hits home. I read something last week saying more people check packaging materials now before they even look at the price. It's wild how fast that changed from just a nice extra to a real deal breaker. What kind of better options are you looking at switching to?

Watched my friend's Etsy shop get torn apart in reviews because they used bubble wrap. One customer posted a video unboxing and shaming the plastic, just like @taylor26 said. She panicked and swapped to corrugated cardboard sleeves overnight. Lost a bunch of orders but saved her brand long-term.

taylor26 is right about people checking the materials first now. We had to switch fast after a similar mess up. Look into mushroom packaging or cornstarch stuff, it breaks down in your home compost. The cornstarch ones feel like regular plastic but don't stick around.
