Our POS system crashed on a Friday night and I almost lost it
It was last month at my coffee shop in Portland. The whole register froze right at 7pm during our busiest rush. I had to grab a notebook and write every order down by hand for about 45 minutes until we got it rebooted. Turns out a software update went bad. Have any of you dealt with a sudden system failure like that and found a backup plan that actually works?

Writing everything down on paper is always my go-to backup when tech fails me.
