Lost a $12k contract because I couldn't explain my pricing clearly enough on a call with a client in Austin last month

The guy kept asking why I was $3k higher than his other quote and I froze up talking about labor vs materials, so he went with the cheaper guy - what do you say when someone puts you on the spot like that?
