Had to choose between a $500 ad agency retainer or a $200 freelancer for my landscaping business last month
I went with the freelancer since she specialized in local SEO and my Google My Business traffic went up 40% in 3 weeks, has anyone else tried smaller specialists over agencies?

So we're acting like a 40% bump in three weeks on a $200 spend is some kind of proof that bigger agencies are a waste? I hired a freelancer once for the same reason and she just spammed local directories with my info, got me a ton of bogus calls. Might just be your case was a lucky hit with the right person.
