Appreciation post: My mentor in Austin said 'focus on one channel first' and it saved my first year.
I kept trying to do social media, email, and Google Ads all at once with my $500 monthly budget and got zero real results. After six months of this, he made me pick just Instagram and go all in, which got me my first ten paying customers. Has anyone else found that narrowing your focus early on was the key to getting traction?

Watched a friend burn through her startup budget trying to master three platforms at once. She finally picked just YouTube and started seeing real engagement within a couple months. That focus made all the difference for her early growth.

Yeah, that's the only way to start. How can you do anything well if your money and time are spread so thin? I did the same thing trying to run Facebook and TikTok ads for my side hustle with like $20 a day. It was a total waste, just got a bunch of likes from bots. @mitchell.nancy's friend is right, you have to pick your one thing and learn it inside out. For me, I stopped the ads and just focused on making good posts for one Facebook group in my niche. That's where I actually found people who wanted to buy. Trying to be everywhere means you're good at nothing.
