A client told me my emails were too "corporate" and it stung at first
I had a client last month flat out say my weekly updates read like a legal document. She said she felt like she was getting a report instead of a conversation. I changed my email format to shorter paragraphs with bullet points for key numbers and a single question at the end. Since then, I have gotten twice the reply rate and she even said the last one was "refreshing." That feedback pushed me to redo my whole client communication template. Has anyone else had to strip down their professional tone to get better engagement?

Switching to bullet points was a game changer for me too. I started putting the key numbers in bold at the top and it cut my email length by half. Did you change your subject lines too?

Had a friend whose open rates jumped 30% just from changing subject lines.
