PSA: Your monthly log doesn't need 31 boxes

I kept seeing people draw these huge monthly calendars with every single day boxed in. I did it for a year. It felt like a waste of space. Now I just list the dates down the side of the page and write events next to them. It freed up a whole page for my habit tracker. Anyone else switch to a simpler monthly setup?

The sheer amount of graph paper I wasted drawing tiny boxes for February is a crime. Webb.linda, I filled the new space with a tracker for how many times I have to rewrite my grocery list because I keep losing it. It's a full page.

Fr @webb.linda I switched to the same layout and now I use the extra space for a weekly wins section. Do you feel like the box method actually helped you track stuff better or was it just satisfying to look at?
