PSA: A friend told me my habit tracker was 'pointless busywork' and I got defensive at first.

They asked 'what are you actually learning from this?' and I realized I was just filling boxes. Now I only track 3 things that directly help my goals, like water intake and sleep before a shift. Anyone else cut back on tracking after a similar critique?

My old bullet journal had like 12 trackers, from mood to screen time. I mean, it looked pretty but I was just moving a pen across a page. My sister saw it and asked if coloring in the squares was my new hobby. That kinda hit me. Now I just log my morning run and if I took my vitamins, because those actually matter to me. The rest felt like I was just proving I could keep a chart.

12 trackers is wild. Honestly, I can't even keep up with one habit without forgetting halfway through the week. Your sister calling it a coloring hobby is harsh but honestly a reality check most of us need to hear.

Yeah, @the_lucas, coloring squares is not a real hobby.
