My coworker's sticky note comment fixed my whole tracker setup
Honestly, I was sitting at my desk last week and my coworker glanced at my bullet journal during a break. He said, 'Why do you track 14 things when you only actually care about 3 of them?' That hit me harder than I expected. I had built this huge daily spread with mood, water, steps, sleep, reading, and like 8 other little boxes. It looked great but I spent 20 minutes every night filling it out and honestly hated it. So on Monday I cut it down to just 3 trackers: sleep, exercise, and whether I took lunch away from my desk. Already my mornings feel less like a chore and I actually stick with it past Tuesday, which never happened with the big setup. Has anyone else found that shrinking your daily log down made it easier to keep up, or do you need the visual space to stay motivated?

Ha! Yeah, I feel this in my bones. I once had a habit tracker that was basically a second job, colored pens and all. Took me like three weeks to realize I was just making little colored squares for things I didn't even care about, like flossing. Now I track like two things, coffee intake and if I actually talked to another human that day, and somehow I'm way more consistent. Nothing kills a habit faster than making it feel like homework you're failing at.
