My bullet journal got me through a crazy Tuesday with three meetings and a sick kid
Last Tuesday, my schedule blew up. I had three back-to-back work meetings planned, and then my son woke up with a fever. I looked at my weekly spread and saw I had blocked out 2:00 PM for a project. I quickly moved that task to Thursday and wrote 'sick kid' in the box instead. Seeing it all on one page helped me call the school, email my boss, and not miss a meeting. I even jotted a note to buy more medicine on my grocery list. Has anyone else had a day where your bujo was the only thing keeping you from total chaos?

Wait, you can move tasks in a bullet journal?

Yeah totally, that's the whole point of the migration step at the end of the month. You look at your unfinished tasks and decide if they're still worth your time. If they are, you rewrite them on the new monthly page. If not, you just let them go. It keeps the journal from getting cluttered with old stuff you'll never do.

My Tuesday looked a lot like that but with less sick kid and more "why did I agree to this renovation quote last week"... I moved half my tasks to next month's spread and called it a win. At least the bujo didn't judge me for eating cold pizza while rewriting the whole week.
