DAE spot bullet journals for neighborhood watch plans?
My block captain keeps one to note patrol times and any issues.

Seems like overkill for just writing down patrol times.

Yeah but have you seen the actual forms the block captain uses? It's like a tax return crossed with a spy log. Sage_fisher29's coffee tally looks like pure poetry next to those grids about "suspicious shrubbery depth." They make us note the weather and everything.

Honestly, my bullet journal is just for tracking how many cups of coffee I have before noon... I see where @iris18 is coming from because my block captain's patrol notes look way more serious than my scribbles about bad TV shows.

Our patrol sheet has a column for counting garden gnomes. That level of detail makes coffee tracking seem totally normal. All those extra notes are just for show, to make the job look important. I saw last month's logs and half the entries were about stray cats. My own notes are for things I actually need to remember, like when rent is due. This whole system is paperwork for the sake of paperwork.
