Bought a $30 calligraphy pen set for my bullet journal headers

The ink bled through every single page of my Leuchtturm1917 and now I have to either start a new notebook or just accept that my spreads look like a crime scene - has anyone else found a pen that actually works with thin paper?

Yeah the Leuchtturm paper is basically tissue paper with a fancy cover. I use the Zebra Sarasa Dry - it's a gel pen that dries fast so no smearing but also doesn't bleed. The 0.5mm is good for headers. Also try the Muji gel pens, they're cheap and work way better on thin paper than anything with a felt tip. Just test on the back page first before you commit to a whole layout.

Honestly, I gotta push back a little here. I've used Leuchtturms for years with fountain pens and fine liners and barely had bleed-through. Maybe you got a bad batch or something? I think the paper's decent for the price, it's not Tomoe River or anything but calling it tissue paper feels harsh.
