Used to chuck $200 a month at takeout, now I cook 90% of my meals at home

Honestly, back in 2021 I was burning like $50 a week on DoorDash after long job sites. Switched to meal prepping on Sundays with a $30 slow cooker from Target, and I'm saving at least $150 a month now. Anyone else find that one switch that just clicked for them?

Did you find the prep time got easier after a few weeks?

The weird thing about prep is you blink and suddenly three hours have vanished... I started timing myself and found I was spending way too long trying to make things look perfect. Once I gave up on that, it got a lot faster, but then I started forgetting half my ingredients. My wife says I need a system, but I just wing it and hope for the best. It never really got easier for me, I just got more used to the chaos.
