Tracked every penny for 6 months before I saw I was leaking $80 a month on unused subscriptions

I thought I was pretty good with money, always checking my bank app. But last year I started using a spreadsheet, the old school way, and I printed out 3 months of statements. Highlighted everything that came out automatically. Had stuff like a cloud storage I forgot about, a gym membership I stopped using in 2022, and even a streaming service my ex signed us up for. All told it was almost $80 a month just gone. What tipped me off was seeing the same amounts every month and having no clue what they were for. Has anyone else found a pile of auto-payments they just set and forgot?

Actually paying for my ex's streaming service is on you, not a system problem.

Laughed out loud at that honestly, because I definitely had a "wait, that's my ex's account" moment with a music streaming service I was still paying for six months after we split. Thought I was being mature by not making a big deal about canceling, but really I was just tossing $15 a month into the void for her playlists. At least now I can say my bank statements are 100% my own bad decisions and not leftover relationship baggage.
