Picked the $6 grocery store rotisserie over the $18 meal kit, no regrets at all

Been trying to cut back on takeout and I got suckered into one of those meal kit deals, $18 for two servings of chicken and rice. Then I realized the grocery store down the street sells a whole rotisserie chicken for $6 and a bag of frozen veggies for $2. Made three meals out of it and had leftovers for lunch. The meal kit was decent but honestly, I can't justify paying 3x for the same amount of food. Anyone else ditched the fancy boxes for the basic store chicken?

Saw a food blogger break down the pricing and rotisserie chickens are basically free money compared to those kits.
