Overheard a guy at the hardware store say he budgets $40 a month for 'stupid purchases' and it clicked for me.
I always felt guilty about small impulse buys, but setting aside a fixed amount for them in my Mint app actually stopped me from overspending the rest of the month, so has anyone else tried a 'fun money' line item?

That's a solid plan, baker.riley. I call mine "truck stop money" for when I see a dumb keychain or a weird snack. Putting fifty bucks in its own digital envelope stops me from dipping into the gas fund.
