Man, my buddy went through the same thing with his dad. He tried to explain why he checks his bank app every morning and his dad just laughed and said he worries too much, but his dad has never had to call the bank begging them to hold a charge for one more day. Some people just never had that pit in their stomach moment, so the habit looks silly to them even when it is the only thing keeping you steady.
