I finally put together a decent home gym without spending a fortune

I've been wanting to lift weights at home but new equipment is pricey. I scored a used bench and weights from a garage sale and made sandbags for extra weight, so my total cost was under fifty bucks. What's your go-to move for saving cash on fitness stuff?

Thrift stores sometimes have random fitness gear for dirt cheap. Just gotta check back often cause it's hit or miss.

Question the rush to hunt down fitness equipment. Most of it ends up unused after a few weeks. Seems like a lot of effort for something so trivial.

Nice work hunting down that garage sale find. Scouring local buy-nothing groups online has saved me a ton, people are always getting rid of old dumbbells or resistance bands. I’ve also used water jugs and backpacks filled with books when I needed extra weight. It’s amazing what you can do without a fancy set up, right?
