Homeowners insurance quote battle was worth the headache

Took a Saturday morning to call around for a new policy after my old premium jumped $220 for no reason. Got a quote from a regional company in Ohio that beat my current coverage by $310 a year with the same deductibles. I almost skipped the last call because I was tired of hold music and repeating my roof age. That one call paid for a nice dinner out with my wife and then some. Anyone else find that smaller local insurers tend to undercut the big names?
