Thought ceramic pads were all hype, then my wagon quit squealing after 2 weeks
I ran cheap metallic pads on my 2013 Outback for 40k miles and the squeal at every red light in Fort Wayne drove me nuts. My buddy Dave kept telling me to try ceramic, and I figured it was just him being a parts counter snob. Finally swapped a set of Akebono ProACT pads on two weeks ago and the noise is just gone, cold stops feel fine too. Anyone else switch pad compounds and get surprised by how quiet it got?
