The Worst Brake Week I Ever Had vs. The Best, and I Can't Decide Which Taught Me More
Two weeks ago I did front pads and rotors on my Civic in maybe 45 minutes flat, no noise, no problems, felt like a hero. Then last Saturday my buddy's Silverado ate a whole afternoon because one caliper bolt was seized so bad we rounded it off twice and had to run to O'Reilly's for a extractor kit. Same job, same tools, two totally different days. Part of me thinks the smooth jobs teach you nothing and the disaster jobs are where you actually learn. The other part of me thinks a guy who brags about 45 minute brake jobs has never met a truck from Ohio. Which side are you on, do you learn more from the clean ones or the ones that fight you the whole way?
