That low pedal after a cheap master cylinder job caught me in Denver traffic

Swapped the master cylinder on my old F-150 last Saturday and bled it twice, but the pedal still sinks about 3 inches when I'm stopped. Turns out the replacement unit had a bad internal seal, almost rear-ended a bus on I-25 this morning. Anyone else had a reman part fail right out of the box?

Reman parts are a total crapshoot these days, I swear. Had a brand new alternator fail on me in a parking lot once, smoke pouring out before I even got the hood closed. That sinky pedal feeling is terrifying though, good thing you kept your distance.

Man, three inches of pedal travel in Denver traffic is no joke, that could've been ugly. Glad you're okay, and it sucks the reman part was junk right out of the box.
