Spent 4 hours fighting a seized caliper pin on a 2008 Accord

I was just trying to swap pads on my wife's car last Saturday and that lower caliper pin would NOT budge no matter how much PB Blaster I used. Ended up having to torch it with a propane torch and beat it out with a hammer and punch, which took forever. Has anyone else dealt with a pin that just refuses to come out, or am I the only one cursed with rusty Honda parts?

...and that's when you realize Honda uses some kind of witchcraft metal that just welds itself to the bracket after a few winters. I had the same thing happen on a 2006 Civic, same story. PB Blaster did nothing, I ended up using a breaker bar and still thought I was gonna snap the whole bracket off. It actually came out eventually with a lot of cussing and a few dents in the floor from the punch slipping. Pretty sure my left thumb still remembers where it got whacked last April.

Man, that brings back memories... had a buddy with a rusty F-150 caliper that took him a whole weekend and a sledgehammer to break loose.
