Saw a Honda Civic at a Walmart in Dayton with brake pads worn down to nothing but the backing plates
I was walking out of the Walmart on Salem Ave in Dayton last Saturday and noticed this old Civic parked with the front wheels off, like somebody was mid brake job in the parking lot. The guy came back with a cart full of cheap pads and a C clamp, and I peeked at the old pads sitting on the ground and they were down to bare metal with the rotors grooved to hell. Am I crazy for thinking you should at least turn the rotors or is parking lot brake jobs just normal now?

Man, those grooved rotors will eat the new pads alive.
