PSA: dropped $87 on a "premium" brake pad upgrade for my Civic and they squeal worse than the $22 ones

The "premium" part always gets me because that word clearly means something different to brake pad companies than it does to the rest of us. I once paid extra for "performance" wipers that just performed a loud screech across my windshield for six months. My car knowledge comes mostly from expensive lessons like yours.
