Noticed something weird at the laundromat parking lot last weekend
Tbh I was waiting for my clothes to dry and saw this guy doing a brake job on his old F150 in the lot. He had the caliper hanging by a bungee cord and was using a cinder block as a jack stand. Honestly that whole setup made me nervous just watching it. Has anyone else seen sketchy parking lot brake repairs that made you cringe?

Meh, people have been backyard wrenching forever and it usually works out fine.

Man I saw a guy in the Aldi parking lot once trying to bleed brakes with a Gatorade bottle and a ripped rubber hose... I had to walk away because I was just waiting for something to go wrong. It's not even about being a professional, it's just... that level of sketchy makes me nervous for everyone nearby. Like what if that cinder block shifts and the whole truck comes down on him? I've done my share of driveway repairs but there's a line between getting by and asking for trouble. Hope that guy finished up okay and didn't end up hurt or anything...
