My rear pads hit 87,000 miles and I still cant believe it

I bought my 2015 Honda Fit used with 61k on it and just swapped the rear pads last weekend at 87k. Thats over 26k miles of my own commuting and hauling gear around Austin without touching them. The fronts needed work at 70k but the rears just kept going, no noise, no vibration, nothing. When I pulled the calipers off, they still had maybe 3mm left, which is way more than I expected for a car I drive kinda hard. Is this normal for smaller cars to have rear pads last that long, or did I just get lucky with a gentle previous owner?
