Crazy moment when my rear pads hit 87,000 miles

I bought a 2014 Civic used back in 2019 and just never bothered checking the rears, figured they'd need doing around 40k like the fronts did. Last week I had the wheel off for a tire rotation and grabbed my caliper just out of curiosity. The pad material measured at 6mm, which blew my mind because my front pads were toast at 38k miles. I drive mostly highway in Ohio, so maybe that's why the rears last so much longer here. Anyone else see a huge difference between front and rear pad wear on their daily?
