Cheap ceramic pads in my Civic squealed for 3 weeks, $40 semi metallic set fixed it in one afternoon
I cheaped out on the ceramics from the parts store on Route 9 and they howled at every stop sign in my neighborhood. Swapped to the semi metallics and the noise stopped on the very first drive around the block. Anyone else have ceramics that just won't shut up no matter how much grease you put on the shims?

Ceramics on a Civic are basically a built in alarm system for your whole block lol. My buddy swore his were fine and then we drove past a school and every kid turned around. Semi metallics just work, plus they stop better when they're cold anyway.
