That $18 spoke wrench that stripped my nipples on day one
Picked up a cheap set from the hardware store to true a wheel for a client, and the jaws were way too soft... first turn and it rounded off the nipple completely, ruining the build. The replacement spoke and nipple cost me $9 plus an hour of re-lacing work, which is more than I wasted on the tool itself. Anyone else had a budget tool fail like this and end up costing way more than just buying the right one from the start?
