I thought internal routing was the future (you know, for that clean look), but after a roadside repair, I'm back to preferring external cables.

I was all in on the clean internal look too. Trying to fix one on the side of the road is a nightmare that changes your view pretty fast. Function wins over form when you're stuck somewhere.

Learned that the hard way, now I just use tape for labeling cables inside.

Ever try to fix a snapped internal cable in the rain? I did, and it was a mess. Now I just run everything outside the frame for easy fixes.
