Hit 1000 tube changes in a single season last summer and my hands still hurt thinking about it

I kept a tally on my shop wall just for fun and was honestly shocked when I hit 1000 tubes swapped between May and October. Most were from goatheads out here in Colorado but a solid chunk were people running tires way too soft for their weight. Didnt realize how much repetitive grip work actually messes with your forearms until I couldnt hold a coffee mug straight by November. Anyone else ever track specific repairs over a season and see a number that caught you off guard?

Honestly tracking repairs like that sounds like a waste of time unless you're running a shop and need the data for ordering parts. For a home mechanic or hobbyist, nobody cares how many tubes you swapped, you're just inflating the number to feel like you worked harder than you actually did. I'd rather spend that energy on tire liners and proper pressure so I'm not changing tubes every other weekend in the first place.

Grant Cooper, you're missing the real value here - it's not about the tube count, it's about spotting PATTERNS. If you track every flat, you might notice it's ALWAYS the rear tire, or always after riding on that one gravel path. Tire liners won't fix a bad rim tape job or a spoke poking through. Numbers HAVE context if you pay attention.
