A spilled coffee moment that fixed more than just a bike
I was at the community shop yesterday helping a regular with his creaky pedals. He brought in two coffees, and one tipped over right onto my tool tray. We both froze for a second, staring at the mess. I wiped everything down, and we got back to it, laughing about the start. While cleaning, I noticed a tiny crack in his pedal spindle I'd missed before. Replacing that fixed the creak for good. He was so happy he bought me a fresh coffee on the spot. It felt good to solve the puzzle, even with the sticky surprise. Sometimes the best fixes come from little accidents.

Funny how that works, but I've seen coffee spills RUIN a good set of tools if not cleaned up fast. Glad it turned out well for you though, finding that crack was a lucky break. Always a good reminder to double-check things after a mess.

Spot on about that lucky find. Always wipe things down right away so you catch stuff like that.
