A customer told me my torque wrench clicks were too fast

They said I was rushing past the actual click on carbon parts. Now I deliberately pause for a full second after each one. Anyone else adjust their technique after direct feedback?

My buddy snapped a seatpost from rushing his clicks, learned that lesson the hard way.

Snapped a seatpost? How?

10mm hex key and a torque wrench set to around 5-6 Nm should be the standard for any carbon or thin alloy post. @joel_brown19, your buddy probably thought "a few more clicks won't hurt" and that always ends the same way. I've seen way too many posts snap because someone overtightened them from the factory spec. Aluminum posts can take a bit more but you still don't want to go past 8 Nm. Usually once you hear the creak stop, that's your sign to stop turning.
