Swapped my offset for a drum smoker and I get it now

I spent 4 years fighting with my Oklahoma Joe offset, chasing temps and feeding logs every 45 minutes. Tried a friend's 55-gallon drum smoker at a cookout in Austin and couldn't believe how steady 250 degrees held for 6 hours straight with barely any fiddling. Swapped over last month and my brisket came out way more consistent, even got a good bark on my first try. Anyone else make the switch from an offset and regret waiting so long?

Those 55 gallon drums hold heat way better than offsets for sure.
