Spent $80 on a fancy wireless meat thermometer and it died after 3 cooks

I bought this Meater+ thing last month thinking it was gonna be the best thing for my brisket cooks. Worked great the first two times, no issues. Third time I used it on a pork shoulder, the probe just stopped connecting to my phone mid-cook. Tried everything, resetting it, new batteries, nothing worked. Their customer service told me it's out of the return window and offered me a 20% off coupon for a new one. Has anyone else had these wireless probes crap out on them way too fast?

20% off? That's insulting honestly. They couldn't even offer you a full replacement for a $80 piece of gear that lasted three whole cooks?

Nah bro I had a Meater+ too and it did the exact same thing after like 4 cooks. That 20% off coupon is a slap in the face when the thing barely worked out of the box.
