The frozen pizza box I kept leaving in the sink finally made me see it

I thought I was the perfect roommate, always paying rent early and never throwing parties. Then my roommate left a sticky note on the fridge saying 'the ants in the corner are your fault, not mine.' Turns out I was stacking dirty dishes next to the trash can every night for 3 months, and the crumbs were feeding a whole colony. The tipping point was watching a single file line march from my pizza box to the baseboard. Anybody else have a gross habit that took a bug invasion to break?

My buddy had the same thing with fruit flies. He thought he was being clean but had a bag of rotting potatoes shoved behind the microwave for like two months. The flies were so bad we'd hold our breath walking into his kitchen. He only found the bag because he finally moved the microwave to check a weird smell.
