PSA: kicking out the roommate who never paid rent was the wrong move for me
Back in March 2023 I let my buddy Dave crash in my spare room in Reno for what was supposed to be 2 weeks, and he stayed 7 months without paying a dime. Everyone told me to boot him, but I let him stay until he got back on his feet, and honestly it saved our friendship because he paid me back $2,100 in one lump sum once his new job started. Am I the only one who thinks kicking someone out at their lowest just makes things worse?
