My roommate ate my $60 steak dinner in Boston and left the plate in the sink, should I charge him or just move out?
Two years ago in Boston I cooked a ribeye I bought for $60 to celebrate a new job, went to take a shower, and came back to an empty plate and him saying 'you snooze you lose.' Some folks say food in a shared fridge is fair game unless it has a name on it, but others say respect means you just don't touch what you didn't buy. I started keeping my groceries in a locked bin near my desk after that night. So which side are you on, is the fridge a free-for-all or does every roommate owe common courtesy?
