The shed platform I built last weekend is already sinking on one corner
Put up a 10x12 shed in my backyard in Portland and built the base out of deck blocks on compacted gravel, thought that was enough. Woke up Tuesday after heavy rain and the left front corner dropped a good 2 inches, now the door frame is tweaked and it won't latch right. I skipped the footer holes and concrete because I was trying to finish before the weekend ended, guess that was the stupid move. The gravel bed was level when I set it, but I didn't rent a plate compactor, just stomped it down with my boots. Should I jack it up and pour proper piers now, or is it worth tearing the whole base apart before the shed gets heavier with shelves? Has anyone else fought a sinking deck block and fixed it without starting over?
