Got talked out of spray foam by a framer and I'm glad I listened

I was dead set on sealing my shop in Highland with closed cell, but this old framer said my metal roof would sweat through it and pointed at the vent chutes. He was right, the batch I tested on scrap bubbled up after one hot week, so I stuck with batt and rigid instead. Anyone else here regret a foam job that trapped moisture somewhere you can't see?
