Read somewhere that overfilling can actually blow out your seals. That's a pricey mistake to fix compared to just draining some out.

My buddy Kyle legit did this with his truck for like a year. He finally figured it out when his driveway started looking like an oil slick and his neighbor asked if he was running a garage out of his house.
