TIL my old boss was right about sticking with the factory service manual over YouTube for that 2012 F-150 timing job.
I spent a whole weekend trying to follow a video that skipped the cam phaser alignment step, which cost me a new set of chains and about $400 in parts when I had to redo it all by the book on Monday.

The last 3 "degrees" I checked from youtube were like watching a 40 minute video on how to change a tire that could've been 5 minutes. Half the time the info is outdated or the person teaching it barely knows what they're talking about. But if you learned one solid thing from yours, it's probably not a total waste.
