Serious question, did a $12 oil analysis save my engine or just my nerves

I paid about $35 with shipping for an oil analysis kit on my 2013 F-150 at 140k miles, and it flagged coolant in the oil before I ever saw a temp gauge move. The shop quoted me $900 for head gaskets, so the kit paid for itself 25 times over. Has anyone else caught a small coolant leak this way, or was I just lucky with the timing?
