My torque wrench clicked at the wrong time and I snapped a valve cover bolt on a 2016 Civic
I was doing a valve cover gasket job in my garage in Bakersfield last Saturday and set my wrench to 89 inch pounds like the spec said. The bolt sheared right off because I was running it in fast with a ratchet first, and I felt it get soft but kept going anyway. How do you all pull the stub out when it breaks below the surface, extractor set or drill it out?

Was the bolt bottoming out or did it actually get tight before it snapped?
