My go-to for finding leaks is still soapy water, not fancy detectors

Most shops have moved on to electronic leak detectors for speed. I keep a spray bottle of soap mix from my early days on the bench. Watching bubbles form shows the exact spot and size of a leak clearly. That simple trick found a slow evap leak last Tuesday that a digital unit missed.

Soap can get messy in tight spots though.

Nah, you just gotta lather it up more! That extra slickness helps it slide right into tricky spots lol. Plus any mess just washes off with water anyway.
