Hot take: a regular at my bar swears he 'fixed' his truck with a $6 part, and I can't decide if he's a genius or lucky
This guy Dale came in around 9pm on a Tuesday, still in his work coveralls, and talked for 20 minutes about how his 2011 F-150 had a rough idle for three weeks. He tried a $90 sensor, a $40 cleaner, then a $6 can of throttle body spray from the AutoZone on 5th, and it ran clean after that. Part of me thinks he just got lucky, the other part thinks a lot of us overthink the easy stuff first. What would you have checked before dropping cash on parts?
